For Fire & Security Installations
It is a legal requirement (BS5839 Part 1) that surface mounted Fire Performance cables must be secured using metallic fixings which can withstand the same temperatures and vibration as the Fire Resistant cables, so maintaining adequate support for the cables in event of fire.
The D-Line F-Clip has been tested by Bodycote Warrington Fire, confirming it satisfies requirements of BS5839 part 1 - copy test report on request. The tests confirmed that the F-Clip's, when containing 2 x Fire Performance 1.5mm 2core cables, and subjected to 830 degrees C (+-40 degrees C) for 30 minutes at a voltage of 500V rms, and enable the cables to maintain circuit integrity.

D-Line F-Clip's are manufactured from high temperature steel with a gold passivated finish that can withstand mild corrosive elements – for ceiling voids for example. Once fastened in the trunking, or on to the surface, tabs on the F-Clip can be easily folder to secure two cables in the F-Clip. Installation time is at least halved as one clip fits 2 x Fire Performance 2c 1.5mm, compared to fixing one P type clip per cable. |
