For Fire and Security applications D-Line is the perfect cable management solution.
D-Line 16/8mm Micro profiles are best choice to conceal wiring for Access Control and Door Entry systems, also CCTV and PIR sensor wiring for alarms.
D-Line 30/15mm Mini profiles are ideal for drops for break glass call points using 2 core 1.5mm soft-skin cables.
For coving use 30/30 quadrants which can reduce to 30/15 drops.
Both 30mm profiles (semi-circle and quadrant) fit with D-Line F-Clips, which easily snap-in the lengths.
D-Line 40/20mm Semi-circular profile is ideal for horizontal and vertical runs where extra internal capacity is preferred...useful for example in installations where there exists many bends.
It is a legal requirement (BS5839 Part 1) that Fire Performance cables that are surface mounted must be secured using metallic fixings that can withstand the same temperatures and vibration as the fire resistant cables, while maintaining adequate support.

The D-Line F-Clip has been tested by Bodycote Warrington Fire, confirming it satisfies cable management requirements of BS5839 part 1 - copy test report on request. The tests confirmed that the clips, when subjected to 830 degrees C (+-40 degrees C) for 30 minutes at a voltage of 500V rms, allows the cable to maintain circuit integrity. Installation time is at least halved as one clip fits 2 FP cables, compared to fixing one P type clip per cable. |

The D-Line F-Clip is ideal for installations in ceiling voids also.

For installations using soft skin FP cables but requiring lots of bends we advise clips fit D-Line 40/20 where the extra capacity facilitates installation. For ceiling runs to smoke alarms use 30/15mm with a pattress adaptor which has a rounded edge to match the curved profiles of fit popular smoke alarm bases with traditional 25x16mm knockouts. |
